Renewal process

This urban renewal unit is adjacent to the Xizhi Railway Station and Xike Railway Station commercial areas. It is roughly a 400m-walk from Taiwan Railways’ Xike Station, with sufficient and convenient living necessities. The total area of the site is 4,000.44㎡. The area currently has low land-use efficiency, and existing buildings lack disaster prevention and seismic retrofit measures. After an evaluation by the New Taipei City Government, it was determined for the public and private lands around lot No. 281 of Zhixing Section, Xizhi District to be designated as a renewal unit in the form of government-led urban renewal, in accordance with Article 9 of the Urban Renewal Act and Article 5-1 of the same Act’s Reinforcement Rules. Through public selection measures, private companies will be hired to implement the urban renewal project, revitalizing the public land to provide social housing for young people and public facilities needed in the neighborhood.

Plan

A resettlement plan has been proposed for this project to take care of current residents. The project aims to construct a sound, accessible environment for gold-rated green buildings and smart buildings with the ideal of shared spaces for youth, children, and the elderly alike. After a public selection process, the New Taipei City Government announced the best candidate on January 26, 2017. Win Sing was qualified and achieved urban renewal goals with its professionalism and technology, creating a more comfortable living environment for the city’s residents and further revitalizing city-owned land.
