Urban Renewal

“Urban renewal” refers to the promotation of planned redevelopment of urban land within the scope of urban planning to revitalize urban functionality and promote public interest. Moreover, procedures stipulated by the Urban Renewal Act are followed to rebuild, renovate, or conduct maintenance to achieve the improvement of construction quality, public facilities, and overall living environments.

Date of application
02, Dec, 2013
Implementer
Win Sing Development Co., Ltd.
Site area
8720.79㎡ (Scope of urban renewal project)
Building area
62682.18㎡ (Total floor area)

Renewal process

This project is located near the New Banqiao Station Special Zone, to the south of Sec. 1 Zhongshan Rd., east of Hansheng E. Rd., north of Alley 193, Hansheng E. Rd., and west of Banxin Rd. A self-organized hearing for the project was held on November 26, 2013, and an application was drafted in December 2013 according to Articles 10, 19, and 22 of the Urban Renewal Act.

Plan

The land in this project is classified as Category B Industrial Area. The plan is to build a steel structure factory office building with 17 floors aboveground and three floors underground. To soften the urban development landscape, the project used arch designs for the building and reserved a 10-meter barrier-free pedestrian walkway along the street, providing more comfortable urban living standards and upholding New Banqiao Station Special Zone’s high-quality urban living environment. By promoting urban renewal projects, the project hopes to facilitate more effective land use and encourage the area’s continued development to create an all-round win-win scenario.
